National Patient Counseling Competition

Would you like to become a better patient educator? The annual National Patient Counseling Competition hosted by APhA gives students the opportunity to improve on their patient counseling and communication skills. Come out to our local patient counseling competition for a chance to represent our chapter at the national level!

The Rutgers level patient counseling competition provides student pharmacists an opportunity to improve on patient counseling and communication skills by delivering counseling to mock patients. This branches from knowledge of different types of medications, what they are used for, and how those medications can be used to treat patients’ ailments. Seamless delivery of counseling and communication will allow for successful participants to move onto the national level of the patient counseling competition. Both levels of competition are notable resume points.
